Licensed Associate Professional Counselor / Art Therapist

I am a pre-licensed clinician and am currently working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Bachelors degree from Eckerd College in an Art Therapy Concentration combining fields of psychology, human development, and fine arts before moving to Pittsburgh and earning a Masters in Art Therapy with a Specialization in Counseling from Seton Hill University. I also have an End-of-Life Doula certification from the University of Vermont.

I have worked in a variety of settings including domestic violence shelters, schools, hospice/ bereavement, and community mental health with a variety of populations including individuals, groups, families, and couples.

I have an eclectic, integrative, and holistic approach to therapy utilizing Art Therapy, emotion- focused therapy, and mindfulness practices to better get to know you as an individual but also examine your concerns, needs, and wants within the systems you are part of and live within. I work collaboratively with you through a person-centered and existential lens to better understand your goals within the therapeutic space and build a relationship housed in transparency, authenticity, and safety to learn new parts of self.

My aim for therapy is to create a safe trusting space where all I work with feel comfortable to create and explore parts of self through art therapy. Art Therapy serves as a container to hold tough and vulnerable experiences that might contain various emotions. Themes of relationships, emotions, and awareness among others can be focuses if Art Therapy explorations to develop strength based coping skills and explore new methods of being with one's authentic self.

I personally love animals of all species, art, dancing, fitness, being in nature, spending time with family, and rocks.
