Juliette Sauter, MA
Pre-Licensed Therapist
I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in 2020 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Prior to my graduate schooling, I worked on an adult inpatient unit where I provided a variety of services. I received my Master of Arts in 2023 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I am currently a doctoral student in clinical psychology (PsyD) at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
I have experience working with clients with a range of symptoms relating to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity, eating disorders, interpersonal issues, and several others. I have experience providing individual, family-based, and couples therapy for individuals across the lifespan.
I look at the individual pieces of systems and the interrelatedness of these separate facets, examining thoughts, emotions, and the interplay between these and clients’ environments. I look to see how patterns have developed in their life and understand how they view these situations. I use empathy, validation, and a nonjudgemental and acceptance-based approach as a means of building connections and gaining understanding of my clients. I always look for something adaptive in even the most maladaptive behaviors/situations.
I am also certified in Gottman therapy for couples work and gaining training on the EFT approach to couples work.
